Clinical Outreach Coordinator Timothy Johnson, CNDAI

Timothy Johnson's first experience in the addiction and recovery field was in 2005 when he moved from Jacksonville to South Florida to help his uncle start Treatment Solutions Network.  He took on the title of COO since most of his work was in setting up systems and managing the office. As time went on he became a partner and Vice President of the company. All the while he took calls and helped hundreds of families overcome barriers to accessing treatment which eventually became his favorite aspect of the business. In 2009 he left the company, got certified to do interventions and became independent for over a year.  During that period of time he placed many of his tough intervention cases with Delray Recovery Center and was very impressed with the outcome. Today he is pleased to harness his knowledge of the business with his passion for helping people for the greater good of the people he serves.

Clinical Outreach Coordinator Laura A. Rod

Laura was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio and relocated to south Florida in June of 2008. Along with her education in leadership and communication, and over six years of professional sales and marketing experience, Laura has been a recovering alcoholic since 2008. She is very active in the local recovery community and is able to truly identify and empathize with individuals struggling with their addictions.
She recalls her own first steps toward sobriety, stating, "For me, it was as if a tornado had blown through my life. I was disoriented, fearful, and had piles of external and internal wreckage to sort through. I had no idea where to begin. Recovery was like disaster relief. I was so desperate for change that I became willing to listen to those who had already rebuilt their lives. One of the things I love about our program at Delray Recovery Center is that most of our staff members are in recovery. As a result, we are able to share our experience, strength, and hope with our clients and help them take steps toward a better way of life. We basically love them until they begin to learn how to love themselves."

"We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience." - Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

"Two roads diverged in a wood, and I, I took the one less travelled by, And that has made all the difference. " - Robert Frost

Behavioral Health Technician Catherine Cahill, C.A.C.

Catherine Cahill earned her AS & AA Degree from Santa Fe College in Gainesville, FL and is currently working towards becoming a CAC (Certified Addiction Counselor) through the Florida Certification Board. She has been working in the field of addiction and recovery for 3 years. Pharmacology/Addiction Medicine and Family Therapy are her main areas of interest.  She believes in the Disease Concept of Addiction, that addiction is a disease of the body, mind and spirit. She does not believe that people have to “hit bottom”, or even have a strong desire to stop abusing substances to get sober.  Catherine maintains that most people have a high degree of denial when they first enter treatment. "The purpose of treatment," she says, "is to break through denial and to identify an individual’s core issues and behavior problems. Once the core issues are defined (ex. Trauma, Abuse, Grief, ED, Depression etc...), they must be treated swiftly and competently. This is a difficult and sometimes uncomfortable process and it is of utmost importance that the individual going through it is in a safe environment under the care of knowledgeable staff." Catherine's philosophy on addiction treatment is that it is a time to be introduced to 12 step programs. Once a person is stabilized by the treatment process they are better able to participate in a 12 step program. Participating in a 12 step program is what ultimately helps a substance-dependant person to not just abstain from chemical use but to have peace of mind and fortitude, and thereby a much more fulfilling and productive life.
