What is drug treatment rehab?
The term drug treatment rehab refers to a group of processes the treatment of psychoactive substance dependency that can be medical and/or psychotherapeutic in nature. These types of substances include:

- prescription medications
- “street” drugs
The intent of the addiction treatment and recovery facility is to enable the individual to break the vicious cycle of drug addiction so that they can overcome it and recover fully in order to return to society where they will remain substance-free for life. Here the individual is able to relax and rest in an apartment like setting complete with many amenities like what they enjoy at home.
Most importantly, the alternative drug treatment rehab facility provides the client with classes and educational materials that focus on relapse prevention so that the individual can live substance-free for the rest of their lives. Aftercare and support are critical components of the recovery process because that never ends. The client learns a variety of coping mechanisms so that they can handle the pressures and stress of everyday life as well as avoid any potentially harmful situations.
