Drug Abuse Program
Drug or substance abuse is a serious health disorder that results in 40 million illnesses or injuries each year in the United States. Drug abuse is often not about willpower, but is a medical condition that requires treatment. Drug abuse programs can help you or a loved one recover from this devastating illness.
No matter what type of drug addiction you are dealing with, a substance abuse program is necessary for the first step of recovery. At Delray Recover Center, the expertly trained staff works with each client to develop a unique and personalized treatment plan. Because what works for some people struggling with drug abuse will not necessarily work for everyone, our staff is skilled at trying different treatment approaches until they find success.
Detoxification
Most drug abuse programs begin with detoxification. People with drug and alcohol addictions need to detoxify from the substance is a safe, medical environment. Depending on the type of substance, the detoxification process can be brief. It is an important first step to recovery. Nearly all patients admitted to Delray Recover Center must detoxify from drugs before they begin the recovery program.
Recovery
Utilizing both group and individual programs, our treatment focuses on a holistic approach. As clients progress throughout treatment, their needs and goals change. At Delray Recover Center, we work with clients with various levels of support based on individual needs. Our staff uses frequent, random drug testing to ensure that clients remain clean throughout the process.
Although sobriety is the primary goal, our staff works with clients to solve underlying issues such as guilt, self-confidence and depression. Clients learn to replace negative thoughts and behaviors with more positive actions, leading them to a fulfilling life. Along with group and individual therapy, Delray Recover Center uses holistic therapy, twelve-step workshops, life-skills workshops and educational seminars to provide a varied, structured and successful treatment program. After leaving the program, clients continue to participate in the aftercare treatment to help them continue to utilize the skills they have learned in treatment to remain sober and healthy.
Our therapists and staff focus on using different treatment techniques to ensure success. Some of the therapy techniques includes standard cognitive therapy such as Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, or REBT, which helps clients identify negative and irrational thoughts. Our therapists also use different therapeutic techniques to encourage clients to grow in many different ways. Because substance abuse is multi-faced, treatment should also focus on many dimensions. These therapies include existential therapy, Gestalt therapy, narrative therapy, psychoanalytic and person-centered therapies. Not only addressing the present day problem of drugs or alcohol, using these types of approaches allow clients to explore their past and other parts of them that may have contributed to their disease.
A variety of drug abuse programs exists that utilize different techniques and approaches. At Delray Recover Center, we want to provide the very best treatment for you or your loved one. Drug abuse is a challenging disease and recovery can be difficult. Our facility makes this difficult transition both rewarding and successful.
