Many people find that trying to quit using drugs or alcohol on their own can be incredibly difficult, or in some cases, impossible. Sometimes, no matter how much a person wants to stop using, and swears to themselves or others that they will, the compulsion to use is too powerful to overcome.  In those cases, that same person can achieve long-term sobriety by entering into a treatment program that will teach them ways of coping with their addiction that work!

Success in sobriety is dependent on the client understanding relapse prevention techniques that he or she can use to combat the urge to use drugs or alcohol to deal with life-issues. Unfortunately, once a person has developed an addiction, whatever the circumstance, the first thought is to use their drug of choice. It doesn't matter if they had a great day, or a terrible day, the afflicted mind tells them to use.

As professionals in the addiction field, we aim to teach the client new ways of handling the compulsion to use drugs and alcohol. Many of the techniques we teach have been around for a very long time, and are well-regarded for their effectiveness. Other techniques are on the cutting edge of the treatment field, and incorporate a more-holistic view of the recovery process. We believe that the best way to help an addict or alcoholic recover is to provide as many perspectives as possible, to reach each client at their level. Additionally, by treating each area in their lives that addiction effects, we are able to transform the client into a person who reacts completely differently to life. Attitudes and behaviors that led to their addiction change, and are replaced with attitudes and behaviors that foster long-term recovery.

The program consists of group counseling sessions, individual counseling sessions, holistic therapy, twelve-step workshops, life-skills workshops, educational seminars and many more unique and exciting therapeutic offerings that enhance the sober experience and increase the chances of success in sobriety.

Some of the groups that clients will be offered while in the program:

  • Relapse Prevention
  • Group Processing
  • Feelings and Emotions
  • Understanding the 12 Steps
  • Family Issues
  • Co-Dependency
  • Image-of-Self Counseling
  • Co-Occurring Disorders
  • Music and Art Therapy
  • Nutrition for Sobriety
  • Meditation
  • Acupuncture
  • Yoga
  • Tai Chi
  • Chi Kong

Our schedule changes each week to offer clients as many new and exciting groups as possible, thus ensuring their continued interest in the recovery process and aiding in producing the greatest change during their time with us.

And of course, we utilize regular drug and alcohol screening to ensure that clients are remaining sober throughout their treatment.
