Addicted individuals that enter alternative therapies supported drug addiction recovery programs at our facility, have numerous stages to start with the recovery from the specifically targeted drug addiction.
Detoxification
The first phase is the detoxification program where the person spends the first few days purging the body of the abused drug or substance. Our medical professionals constantly monitor the individual due to the severity of the withdrawal symptoms associated at this stage. The individual is guided through this tough time until the drug is completely out of the system. Once the detoxification is over, the person enrolls in our drug addiction recovery programs depending upon the level of addiction evaluated. For those with moderate to high addictions they are advised to enter inpatient treatment programs. Delray Recovery Center offers enough space to the individual and we base the remainder of their program on the individual’s needs and decide what treatment is given.
Care and Treatment
Residential care and treatment provides an opportunity to reside in a community that is completely sober. While in this community, the individual usually attends few hours of intensive group therapy offered seven days a week. They may also need one individual session with a psychiatrist at least once a week. Also, the individual is supervised by psychologists, nurses and doctors or other staff 24 hours a day.
Therapy
This structured therapeutic phase is intense but is the best residential treatment for the individuals fighting drug addiction. The next step in the process for those attending inpatient residential drug addiction recovery programs is intensive outpatient program, which is usually offered after the residential therapy to make the transition easier for the newly recovered individual.
The intensive outpatient program focuses on the individual as they recover from the addiction, and has completed the specific term of residential treatment. The intensive outpatient groups meet every evening and this allows the individual to pursue continuing education courses and possibly get a jump on a new career.
